Week 2 seemed to flow a little better aside from temptation
here and there. I ended the week by making a raw taco salad and it finally made
me a salad believer. Salad was always a side dish or stuffed with stuff, but
recently my taste buds have adhered to salads the main reason being I started
to make some tasty dressing. I also experienced my first plant based restaurant
with raw and vegan dishes their dressings were bomb and the salads, I had two!
Detox was always a scary word to me, but this week started
off with weakness. I had been waking up feeling drained a couple days here and
there but I attributed that to no ac, which partly was the case. However, it
would leave as the day started. Earlier this week though I felt weak and tired
on Monday and had to sleep a lot of my day off. As the week went on I would
feel a little here and there but it would leave. Little did I know as I went
into my third week I was detoxing. I did research and was encouraged to that
was normal in the first month of going raw. One of the most important things to
remember going raw is that you do research listen, read and see other peoples
story and remember everything gets better with time. It’s Friday and feel
energized and have been for the past few days, I believe things are getting
better my body is changing for the better! I will be finishing this week out
with raw pizza I tried making it on my day off and it was actually awesome! One
major tip is to appreciate raw food for what it is and don’t compare it to
comfort food, or the appearance, enjoy the earthy raw pungent flavors for what
they are and you’re set!
